Survey of Indian bee (Apis cerana indica) at Village level in Surguja division of Chhattisgarh

Abstract:
In Surguja region 3 districts i.e., Surguja, Surajpur and Balrampur, honey bees were attacked by several pests and the existence of these pests is a major challenge to the honeybees and beekeepers. Based on the present study, the bee enemies were identified such as ants, termites, wax moths, predatory birds (Green bee eater and Black Drongo), wasps, bears, small hive beetles, chameleon and lizard. Nosema disease mainly found in Surajpur district, was the major destructive disease of adult bees, its also affect the queen, drone and worker adult bees.
