Abstract:
A field experiment entitled “Effect of nutrient management through organic sources on growth and yield of mustard” carried out during the rabi season 2021–2022, at the Organic Agriculture Research Farm, Karguaji, Institute of Agricultural Sciences, Bundelkhand University, Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh. The field experiment was laid out in three replications with nine treatment combination in randomized block design. Treatments were: T0, with 100% RDF (60: 40: 30); T1, with 100% nutrients from farm yard manure; T2, with 100% nutrients from vermicompost T3 with 50% nutrients from farm yard manure and 50% nutrients from vermicompost; T4, with 25% nutrients from farm yard and 75% nutrients from vermicompost; T5, with 75% nutrients from farm yard and 25% nutrients from vermicompost; T6, with 25% farm yard manure + 75% vermicompost and 25% extra through poultry manure; T7, 75% farm yard manure + 25% vermicompost with 25% extra poultry manure; T8, 33.33% through farm yard manure, + 33.33% through vermicompost and 33.33% through poultry manure were evaluated. Among the treatments, T8, 33.33% through farm yard manure, + 33.33% through vermicompost and 33.33% through poultry manure recorded higher growth and yield attributing characters with the seed and stalk yield of mustard.
