Effect of plant growth regulators on vegetative growth of Gaillardia

Abstract:
The present experiment entitled “Effect of plant growth regulators on vegetative growth of Gaillardia” was conducted at experimental farm, Pt. Kishori Lal Shukla College of Horticulture and Research Station, Pendri, Rajnandgaon Chhattisgarh during the year 2022-2023. The experiment was laid out in Randomized Block Design (RBD) with thirteen treatments and three replications. The treatment includes, T1 control (Distilled water), T2 (GA3 100 ppm), T3 (GA3 200 ppm), T4 (GA3 250 ppm), T5 (NAA 100 ppm), T6 (NAA 150 ppm), T7 (NAA 200 ppm), T8 (CCC 500 ppm), T9 (CCC 750 ppm), T10 (CCC 1000 ppm), T11 (MH 50 ppm), T12 (MH 100 ppm) and T13 (MH 150 ppm).
The results showed significant effect on vegetative parameters such as maximum plant height (78.30 cm), number of branches per plant (75.20), plant spread N-S (65.71 cm), E-W (64.62 cm) was recorded in treatment T2 (GA3 100 ppm). Whereas minimum plant height (45.23 cm) was recorded in treatments T11 (MH 50 ppm), while lowest number of branches (57.66), minimum plant spread N-S (39.90 cm), E-W (39.38 cm) obtained in treatment T1 (control).
