Abstract:
A growing concern for the public is food safety. Foodborne illness can be prevented by adhering to food safety regulations from production to consumption. The aim of the current study is to assess respondents’ knowledge of food safety. Through exploratory sampling, a total of 100 samples, comprising randomly of males and females between the ages of 25 and 50, were gathered. Through the use of a pre-structured questionnaire, data was gathered. The average score for food safety knowledge was 27.44 ±4.161. Awareness of the fundamentals of hygiene and storage temperatures may cause an important change in consumers’ behaviors, reducing the incidence of foodborne illness.
