Abstract:
A field experiment was conducted at Agricultural Research Institute Main Farm, Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agriculture University, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad, Telangana during rabi 2020-21 to evaluate the effect of integrated weed management with new herbicide mixtures in chick pea (Cicer arietinum). The experiment consisted of 12 treatments laid out in completely randomised design and replicated thrice. Results revealed that application of Pendimethalin 30% + imazethapyr 2% EC-ready mix @ 1.0 kg ha-1 as PE fb mechanical weeding at 30 DAS, Pendimethalin 30% EC @ 1 kg ha-1 as PE fb mechanical weeding at 20 & 40 DAS, Oxyfluorfen 23.5% EC @ 140 g ha-1 as PE fb mechanical weeding at 20 & 40 DAS recorded lowest weed density, dry weight, higher weed control efficiency, herbicide efficiency index, lower weed index, higher seed and haulm yield.
