Analytical method development & validation for simultaneous estimation of ofloxacin, ornidazole & racecadotril in pharmaceutical dosage form by HPTLC

Abstract:
A simple, rapid, economical, precise and accurate HPTLC method for simultaneous estimation of Ofloxacin, Ornidazole and Racecadotril has been developed. Chromatographic separation was achieved using silica gel aluminium plate 60F254 (10*10) as a stationary phase and Methanol: chloroform: Diethylamine (2.5:7.5:0.1) as a mobile phase. The developed plates scanned densitometrically using UV 254 nm Wavelength. The Rf value of OFL, ORN and RAC was found to be 0.73, 0.44 and 0.36 respectively. The method is validated for different validation parameter such as linearity, accuracy, precision, LOD, LOQ and robustness and the result were found to be within the acceptance limit as per the guideline of international conference on harmonization (ICH).
