Relationship between psychiatric disorders and social habits dependence: A review

Abstract:
Globally, psychiatric disorders are most prevalent and are diagnosed very late. Prolonged psychiatric ailments will lead to the addiction towards social habits such as Alcohol, Tobacco and Cannabis etc. Therefore addiction towards to these social habits may further worsen the Neuro-chemistry of CNS which is in the state of imbalance previously. This will lead to decreased quality of life mentally and physically. By measuring the degree of dependence and managing it in the psychiatric patients who were addicted to social habits will be helpful in management of psychiatric distress. It is important to create the awareness among health care professionals as well as every individual in early recognition of addiction symptoms will be effective in slowening of disease process.
