Study on usage of mobile phone among the post graduate students

Abstract:
The present study conducted during 2018-19 in Dharwad city to study on usage of mobile phone among the graduate students. The data was collected with the help of interview schedule which was developed keeping in view the objectives of the study. The Result revealed that respondents were belongs to age group of 20-25 years. With regard to occupation of the head of the family 50 per cent of them were farmers and 36.66 per cent of them were Government employees. Majority 81.66 per cent of the students internet usage was up to 1GB and followed by 18.33 per cent students usage was up to 2GB. Mobile brand wise distributions in mobile use among students majority of the respondents (30.00%) were having Samsung followed by 23.33 per cent of the respondents had Redmi. While purchasing mobile majority 71.66 per cent of the respondents purchase on their own decision followed by 65.00 per cent of the respondents purchase on their father decision and least was on their mother decision. Pertaining to time spent on mobile, majority 66.66 per cent of respondents spent 4hr-6hr in a day.
