Abstract:
The utilization of peanut oil cake as animal feed presents a sustainable approach to meeting the nutritional demands of livestock while addressing waste management challenges. This method not only enhances feed sustainability but also contributes to reducing environmental impacts associated with traditional feed sources. Furthermore, the incorporation of peanut oil cake into livestock diets can improve protein intake and overall animal health, promoting a more efficient use of agro-industrial by-products. The potential benefits of peanut oil cake extend beyond nutrition, as it also supports the circular economy by repurposing agricultural waste into valuable feed resources. This approach aligns with the growing emphasis on sustainable agricultural practices and the need for innovative solutions in livestock nutrition, ultimately fostering a more resilient food system. This innovative use of peanut oil cake exemplifies how agro-industrial by-products can be effectively integrated into animal feeding strategies, enhancing both sustainability and nutritional outcomes for livestock. The integration of peanut oil cake into animal feed strategies not only enhances livestock productivity but also exemplifies the potential of utilizing underexploited agro-industrial by-products for sustainable agriculture. This integration aligns with the increasing global demand for sustainable feed solutions and highlights the importance of exploring alternative protein sources in livestock diets. Moreover, the exploration of alternative protein sources like peanut oil cake is crucial in addressing the rising protein demand in livestock production, particularly in developing regions. By leveraging these underutilized resources, we can enhance feed quality while supporting environmental sustainability and economic viability in livestock production. This approach not only mitigates waste but also promotes the efficient use of available resources, ultimately contributing to a more sustainable agricultural system. This innovative strategy emphasizes the need for holistic approaches in feed formulation, ensuring that livestock nutrition supports both productivity and environmental sustainability. Such strategies are essential for reducing reliance on conventional feed ingredients while promoting the utilization of by-products that can enrich the nutritional profiles of livestock diets. This study underscores the importance of integrating by-products likepeanut oil cake into animal feed formulations, enhancing both nutritional quality and sustainability in livestock production.
