Analysis of the possibility of expanding continuous professional development activities for pharmacy specialists in Ukraine based on the application of growth mindset

Abstract:
This article explores the application of the theory of thinking "growth mindset" among pharmacy specialists in Ukraine with the aim of increasing their efficiency and competitiveness. A "growth mindset" is the awareness that that hard skills and soft skills can be developed through personal effort and professional improvement. The article discusses how integrating the "growth mindset" strategy into the continuing education system for pharmacy specialists impacts their efficiency and competitiveness. It also examines the level of awareness of this concept among Ukrainian pharmacists and employers. The research involved surveying pharmacy specialists to identify the benefits and challenges of implementing the "growth mindset" in pharmacy practice. The survey assessed pharmacy specialists attitudes toward the "growth mindset," the frequency of applying its principles, and the perceived advantages and obstacles. The study found that pharmacists who embrace a "growth mindset" are more inclined toward continuous professional and personal development, leading to greater success and job satisfaction. Awareness of the "growth mindset" among pharmacy specialists varies based on factors such as age, experience, and education. The study also identified factors that either support or hinder the development of this mindset in the professional sphere. The findings confirm that the active formation a "growth mindset" in pharmacy specialists helps in increasing productivity and stimulates the development hard and soft skills according to Ukraine’s professional standards. Based on the results, CPD activities, including interactive seminars focused on practical applications of the "growth mindset," are recommended for pharmacy specialists.
