Abstract:
Diabetes mellitus, particularly type 2 diabetes (T2DM), is a chronic, multifactorial condition that significantly impacts a patient’s quality of life (QoL). As medical management of diabetes evolves, it is increasingly important to assess QoL as a critical component of treatment outcomes. This review explores various tools used to measure QoL in diabetic patients, evaluates how medical management strategies influence QoL, and highlights the importance of incorporating QoL assessment in routine clinical practice for diabetes care. By integrating both physical and psychological aspects of diabetic care, the review aims to provide healthcare professionals with a holistic understanding of QoL evaluation in the context of diabetes management.
