Abstract:
83 long duration rice genotypes were evaluated with one check variety for correlation studies of morpho-physiological, growth and yield contributing traits for yield improvement in irrigated condition. The experiment was laid out in Alpha lattice design with two replications at Research Cum Instructional Farm of the Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Raipur, Chhattisgarh during Kharif 2021-2022. Correlation studies revealed that grain yield-1 had strong positive association with productive tiller/m2, flag leaf width (cm), days to physiological maturity, specific leaf weight, Dry matter translocation, panicle wt. (g), test wt. (g), and harvest index (%). Among the 83 long duration rice genotypes studied genotypes viz. CR 4385-183-113, SIET 423 and MTU 1368 recorded better performance and these are considered as the superior genotypes.
