Abstract:
Biochar, a carbon-rich material obtained through the thermal decomposition of organic matter in an oxygen-limited environment, has garnered increasing attention due to its numerous applications in environmental sustainability, soil enhancement, and carbon sequestration. This review provides a comprehensive analysis of biochar production from various waste biomass sources, focusing on feedstock selection, production techniques, process optimization, and its environmental and economic impact.
