Abstract:
Understanding of prakriti is important for health and wellbeing, to prevent future illnesses, a proper diet must be maintained. "Ahara" (diet) and "Anna" (food) have received more attention in Ayurveda. Once the Prakriti is understood, a person enters the field of personalized preventive health for a better quality of life. Prakriti and health, is crucial for wellbeing and prevents illnesses through proper diet and food, promoting personalized preventive health and improved quality of life in Ayurveda. Pancha Mahabhuta, a concept in Ayurveda, explains that the human body is composed of five elements: Earth (Prithvi), Water (Jala), Air (Vayu), Fire (Agni), and Space (Akash). These elements perform essential tasks during embryogenesis, such as cell division, metabolism, fluid formation, mass formation, and size expansion. Detecting newborns' prakriti post-birth can significantly impact their health, leading to lifestyle changes, chronic disease prevention, and a healthier, high-quality life. The ancient Ayurveda explains that diet influences our genetic constitution, Prakriti playing a crucial role in determining individuals' health. Research has been conducted extensively up to this point, particularly in the areas of metabolic health and prakriti, chronic illness and prakriti, neonatal genetic screening and prakriti, prakriti and genome, and pregnancy and prakriti. To improve one's health, more research is required to examine the connection between nutrition and prakriti. Today, society is aware of diet and nutrition, but it is essential to understand the suitability of diets according their Prakriti to lead a healthy life. The analysis of Prakriti plays a vital role in understanding a patient's physical and mental constitution, contributing significantly to the prognosis, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of various complex diseases.
