Abstract:
The field study was conducted at the Regional Agricultural Research Station, Jagtial on the standardization of Nitrogen levels and their schedules in a dry-converted wet rice system. The research study was carried out in split plot design with 3 nitrogen levels (N1-120 kg ha-1, N2-140 kg ha-1, N3-160 kg ha-1) in main plots and 4 nitrogen schedulings (S1-Basal (0 Seedling stage)- 25 DAS (1/4 tillering stage)-50 DAS (1/2 Panicle initiation stage)- 80 DAS (1/4, Heading stage), S2- Basal (0)- 25 DAS (1/4)-50 DAS (1/4)- 80 DAS (1/2), S3- Basal (1/4)- 25 DAS (1/4)-50 DAS (1/4)- 80 DAS (1/4), S4- Basal (1/5)- 25 DAS (1/5)-50 DAS (2/5)- 80 DAS (1/5)) in subplots. The experiment results revealed that the grain yield was higher at the nitrogen levels of 140 (N2 – 6572 & 7082 kg ha-1 2019; 2020) and 160 (N3 - 7303 kg ha-1) kg ha-1, while among the nitrogen schedules grain yield was higher under S4 (7171 &7284 kg ha-1 2019; 2020) which was on par with S3 (6327&6683 kg ha-1 2019; 2020).
