Response of Nano-DAP (liquid) on growth and yield of rice in Vertisol of Chhattisgarh

Abstract:
To assess the response of Nano- DAP on growth parameters and yield attributes of rice, an experiment was carried out during the kharif seasons of two consecutive years 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 at the research farm of College of Agriculture, IGKV, Raipur, Chhattisgarh, India. The experiment was laid out in a randomized block design with the twelve treatments of various applications of conventional DAP (granular) and Nano-DAP (liquid). Nano-DAP were applied in rice as seed treatment, root deeping and foliar spray. Results showed that application of 75% P through conventional DAP + Root Dipping with Nano DAP @ 5 ml /L + Foliar Spray of Nano DAP @ 2 ml/L at 30 DAT resulted at par yield in comparison with 100% P through conventional DAP (RDF applied as NPK 120:60:40 kg/ha). The significant highest mean grain yield 66.13 q/ha and significant highest mean straw yield 75.26 q/ha was recorded with application of 100% P (T3) which was found at par with T7 (mean grain yield 65.86 q/ha and mean straw yield 74.87 q/ha), and T6 (mean grain yield 64.74 q/ha and mean straw yield 73.54 q/ha) and showed saving of 25% of P. Treatments of combination of 50% granular DAP along with root treatment and foliar spray of Nano DAP (T8, T9, T10, T11 and T12) observed at par with T4 (75% P).Significant effect of nano-DAP was also observed in plant height, effective tillers per hill, and panicle length of rice.
