Abstract:
The present study was conducted to test the effect of seasonality on days to field emergence and field emergence percentage in quinoa (Chenopodium quinoa Willd.) The experiment was conducted at AICRN on Potential Crops, PGI, Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth, Rahuri (Maharashtra) during Rabi 2020-21, summer 2021 and Kharif 2021 season. A total of ten genotypes were sown in Factorial Randomised Block Design (FRBD) with three replications. The results recorded significant differences in response to different sowing dates, genotypes as well as their interaction. These findings suggest although summer season recorded speedy emergence but Rabi season recorded higher emergence percentage.
