Occurrence and distribution of Alternaria blight disease of tomato in major growing districts of Rajasthan

Abstract:
Survey was conducted in the major tomato growing districts of Rajasthan i.e. Jaipur, Sikar, Dausa, and Tonk during Rabi season of 2018. A total one hundred eight fields from thirty six villages of twenty tehsil of these four aforesaid districts were surveyed and isolates of disease were collected along with information of such cultivar which were grown by the farmers and observe PDI etc. Among all surveyed districts disease intensity varied from 15.53 – 28.10 percent and over all mean intensity recorded was 21.79 percent. Jaipur district registered highest mean disease intensity (28.10%) followed by Tonk (25.15%). Other district Dausa (18.38%) had moderate early blight disease intensity while the minimum disease intensity was recorded in Sikar district (15.53%).
