Abstract:
A bull with a history of having a piece of shattered glass pierced in the caudo distal area of its scrotum was presented. Animal appeared to be in great pain, and scrotal swelling had been noticed for a month. Physical examination revealed the hard, swollen and necrosed portions of the testis. The surgical approach was chosen. Under sedation (xylazine @ 0.05 mg/kg bwt) and local infiltration with lignocaine hydrochloride (ring block) and, scrotal ablation was carried out. The animal recovered smoothly and without any issues.
