Bio-efficacy of BAS 750 02 F 400 G/L SC against early blight disease of tomato

Abstract:
An experiment was conducted on efficacy of newer fungicides BAS 750 02 F 400 g/l SC against early blight caused by Alternaria solani. On the basis of two-year field data fungicide BAS 750 02 F 400 g/l SC found that the most effective against both the diseases. Treatment B4=AS 750 02 F 400 g/l SC @ 437 ml formulation per ha was found most effective against Early blight disease. BAS 750 02 F 400 g/l SC @ 437 ml ha-1 which exhibited less disease intensity at 15, 30, 45 and 60 days after first spray during both the year. Fungicide BAS 750 02 F 400 g/l SC was found significantly effective as compare to Captan 75% WP @ 1167 g per ha and Mancozeb 75% WP @ 2000 g per against early blight disease of tomato. Fungicide BAS 750 02 F 400 g/l SC was also significantly increased the number of fruits per plant and also fruit yield. Maximum number of fruits per plant recorded was 36.60, 36.38 and 36.49 fruits per plant in plot treated with BAS 750 02 F 400 g/l SC @ 437 ml per hectare and maximum fruit yield per plant (1.981 and 1.994 kg plant-1) was obtained with the application of BAS 750 02 F 400 g/l SC @ 437 ml per hectare during 2016-17 and 2017-18.
