Abstract:
An experiment on “Influence of month of grafting and growing environment on stenting of floribunda rose var. Mirabel” was carried out at Kittur Rani Channamma College of Horticulture, Arabhavi, Gokak, Karnataka during 2021-2022. The results revealed that, grafts performed in three different months under different growing environment conditions differed significantly. The experiment was laid out in a Factorial Complete Randomized Design (FCRD) with twelve treatments and two replications with the view to find out the best season/month of grafting and growing environments on graft success in floribunda rose var. Mirabel. The scion var. Mirabel was grafted on Natal Briar rootstock. Grafts propagated during the month of March under mist house with low tunnel condition showed significantly quicker sprouting (11.10 days), tallest graft height at 30 and 60 DAG (16.32 cm and 21.64 cm, respectively) and highest graft success (68.74%).
