Abstract:
The experiment entitled “Effect of phosphorus levels on growth and yield of chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) Varieties” was carried out at Research Farm, School of Agriculture, ITM University, Gwalior (M.P.) during rabi season 2020-21. The experiment was laid out in Randomized Block Design Factorial (RBDF) with three replications. The experiment comprised of twelve treatments consisting of three varieties (i.e. Jawahar-130, Jawahar-322 and Jawahar-315) and four levels of phosphorus (i.e. 00, 45, 60 and 75 Kg/ha). The effect of different treatments on yield parameters (viz., number of pods per plant, length of pod, number of seeds per pod, 100 seed weight, seed yield (per plant, plot and per hectare) and economics of the treatments (viz., cost of cultivation, gross return, net return and B:C ratio) were studied. The obtained results are summarized below.
