Abstract:
A field experiment was conducted at the Agronomy Research Block of Rashtriya Kisan (P.G.) College, Shamli, Utter Pradesh during rabi season 2019-2020. The experiment was laid out according to randomized block design with three replications. The treatments consisting of nine treatment combinations viz., control (T0), 75% RDF (T1) 100% RDF (T2), Vermicompost @ 2 t ha-1 (T3), FYM 10 t ha-1 + Azotobacter (T4), 75% RDF + Vermicompost (2 t ha-1) + Azotobacter (T5), 100% RDF + Vermicompost (2 t ha-1) + Azotobacter (T6), 75% RDF + FYM 10 t ha-1 + Azotobacter (T7) and 100% RDF + FYM 10 t ha-1 + Azotobacter (T8) were applied to the mustard var. Laxmi. Results showed that the highest number of silique plant-1, number of seeds silique-1, seed yield (1.83 Mg ha-1), stover yield (3.67 Mg ha-1) and biological yield (5.50 Mg ha-1) of mustard was significantly increased with the application of 100% RDF + Vermicompost (2 t ha-1) + Azotobacter (T6) which was remained at par with T2, T5, T7 and T8 and superior to all other treatments. However, the significantly highest net returns (₹ 56582 ha-1) and B: C ratio (2.66) was obtained with 100% RDF (T2).
