Abstract:
A study was conducted during during rabi and kharif seasons of 2010-11 and 2011-12 on the effect of organic manure, Azospirillum and inorganic fertilizer on wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) and their residual effect on succeeding cluster bean [Cyamopsis tetragonoloba (L.) Taub] in North Western Rajasthan” The treatments in wheat during rabi seasons comprising 30 combinations having five levels each of manure and two levels of biofertilizer in main plot and three levels of inorganic fertilizer in sub plot was laid out in a design split plot with three replications. The results revealed that incorporation of FYM @ 20 t/ha significantly increased all the growth attributes viz., plant height, dry matter accumulation, total tiller per meter row length, yield attributes viz., effective tiller per meter row, seeds per spike and test weight, grain, straw and biological yield over control, FYM @ 10 t/ha, vermicompost @ 5 t/ha which was statistically at par with vermicompost @ 10 t/ha. Application of 100% RDF significantly increased growth attributes viz. plant height, dry matter accumulation, total tiller per meter row length, yield attributes viz., effective tiller per meter row length, seeds per spike and test weight, grain, straw and biological yield over control and 50% RDF.
