Abstract:
A field experiment entitled ʻʻEffect of foliar spray of nutrients on yield and quality of Nagpur mandarin (Citrus reticulata Blanco.)ʼʼ was conducted during the year 2018-19, at the Fruit Instructional Farm, Department of Fruit Science, College of Horticulture and Forestry, Jhalawar. The experiment consisted of different treatments of nutrients including macro and micro-nutrients and was laid out in Randomized Block Design. Amongst different treatments application, treatment T21 (ZnSO4 0.5% + K2SO4 1.0%) foliar application was found significantly superior over other treatments in terms of yield and quality parameters such as number of fruit/tree, estimated yield (kg/tree), fruit weight, fruit length, fruit breadth, peel thickness, number of segments per fruit and juice recovery percentage. Whereas, lowest number of seed per fruit and rag percentage were also found under the same treatment. Overall, T21 treatment exhibited better fruit yield and quality of Nagpur mandarin fruit tree.
