Abstract:
The present investigation was undertaken to establish the critical limit of zinc for soil and plant in wheat crop. All the doses of zinc applied from 2.5 to 10 kg ha-1 increased the dry matter yield of wheat significantly and it was recorded to be 712.23 to 1152.11 g/m2 as compared to control where mean dry matter yield was 525.91 g/m2. The postulated critical level of soil ranged from 0.72 to 0.77 mg kg-1 and the critical limit was obtained as 0.75 mg kg-1 for soils of Rajsamand district. Likewise, the postulated critical level of zinc for wheat plant was registered as 28.16 to 30.90 mg kg-1 and the critical limit of zinc in wheat plant was ascertained as 29.53 mg kg-1.
