Abstract:
Ten promising genotypes of Indian mustard were crossed in dialllel fashion for studies of genetics and stability parameter. 45 F1’s were evaluated in randomized block design with three replications under three different environments. In the present investigation, best crosses based on various genetic parameters for commercial exploitation of heterosis in arid zone. Basis of high per se performance, SCA effect, their stability behaviour and standard heterosis over the best check variety (PBR-378) for seed yield per plant the six crosses viz; RGN-13 x RH-30, RGN-13 x RH-406, RGN-298 x RH-30, RGN-298 x RLM-619, RH-30 x RB-50 and RB-50 x PBR-378 were suitable for arid zone.
