Abstract:This study examines the transformative role of yoga in fostering holistic well-being among college students, integrating empirical data, demographic insights, and yogic philosophy. Rooted in the ancient practice’s ability to unite body, mind, and spirit, the paper explores yoga’s capacity to mitigate academic stress, enhance emotional intelligence, and aid recovery from sports injuries. Drawing on a mixed-methods approach, this paper does a systematic review of the factors involved through demographic surveys (N=146) and co-occurrence network maps.
Findings reveal that yoga cultivates resilience through mindfulness and renunciation of materialistic pressures thereby aligning with the Easterlin Paradox, which posits that beyond basic needs, material wealth does not correlate with life satisfaction.
The study advocates for structural reforms, including yoga-infused curricula, wellness hubs, and mindfulness training for educators, to address bureaucratic inefficiencies and institutional biases favoring conventional academia.
