Abstract:
Synthesis of ultrafine particles using green chemistry has been popular owing to the exciting properties and innovative applications of these nanostructures. Novel, cost-effective, and eco-friendly gold nanoparticles (Au NPs) were synthesized using tuber extract of D.pubera(DP-AuNP). The synthesized AuNPs were characterized by UV-visible spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, EDAX, scanning, and transmission electron microscopy. In addition, antibacterial, and cytotoxicity properties of Au NPs were studied. The cytotoxicity of the synthesized DP-Au NPs was evaluated using an MTT assay on lung (NCIH-460), cancer cells. The synthesized AuNPs exhibited moderate antibacterial activity against the bacterial strains used. Synthesized AuNPs have great cell viability in a dose depended manner and demonstrate that this method for synthesis Gold nanoparticles provided nontoxic. Based on the investigation, the study inferred that DP-AuNPs are therapeutic in combating human pathogens.
