Abstract:
An experiment was carried out at Chiplima, Sambalpur, Odisha during the Rabi season of two consecutive years, 2016 and 2017 in order to study the bio-efficacy of fenoxaprop-p-ethyl herbicides on Echinochloa spp in transplanted paddy (Oryza sativa L.) in west central table land zone of Odisha. The higher grain yield was observed with fenoxaprop-p-ethyl @ 875 gha-1 (3.35t ha-1). It was at par with rest of the herbicide treatments except fenoxaprop-p-ethyl @500 gha-1. The higher weed control efficiency was observed with fenoxaprop-p-ethyl @ 875 gha-1 (83.02% at 30DAT and 81.11% at 60DAT). It was at par with rest of the herbicide treatments except fenoxaprop-p-ethyl @ 500 gha-1. It was also found that fenoxaprop-p-ethyl @ 625gha-1 economically best cost benefit ratio to the framers. Hence, fenoxaprop-p-ethyl @ 625gha-1 used as effective management of Echinochloa spp in rice along with increase in yield under transplanted condition in west central table land zone of Odisha.
