Abstract:
An experiment titled Study on the effect of biostimulants on quality and seed parameters of Marigold (Tagetus erecta L. Cv. Pusa Naringa Gainda) was conducted in two Rabi seasons of year 2015-16 and 2016-17 at Floriculture Research Station, Sri Konda Laxman Telangana State Horticulutural University, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad. Among the treatments, treatment 7 (50% RDF+ Potassium humate 95% @ 1.5g/l sprayed at 30 and 45 DAT) gave maximum cumulative average flower weight (7.64 g), maximum flower diameter (5.14 cm), maximum shelf life (4.06 days), maximum number of seeds (367.5 /g), highest seed germination percentage (86.6%), maximum seed vigour (464.9) and highest benefit cost ratio (2.8) were recorded.
